Daily Foreign Exchange Rate Database contains over 20-year foreign exchange rates and has been updated in a daily basis.

Data Coverage

• This database includes 163 currency exchange rates against the US dollar. (The base currency is USD)
• Different currencies have a different time span. The longest one is over 20 years.

Update Frequency

This dataset is updated every day.

Data Fields

date

The date of the exchange rate

base_currency_symbol

The abbreviation of the base currency. The base currency is the first currency listed in a currency pair, such as USD/EUR (where USD is the base currency). In this database, all the base currency is USD.

quote_currency_symbol

The quote currency is the second currency in a currency pair (for example, USD/EUR).

quote_currency_name

The full name of the quote currency.

quote_currency_country

It refers all countries using the currency. One currency can be adopted by more than one countries.  

exchange rate

It shows how much of the quote currency it takes to purchase one unit of the base currency (USD).
